Spent a good day up at Alpental. It was my first ski day of the season. It’s so hard to arrange everything else to get away for the day. I’m breaking in a new pair of Solomon XWave boots. So far they are a nice upgrade from the Nordica boots I’ve had for the past 7 years.
It was not crowded at all to my surprise. Snow was in good condition considering nothing new has fallen for a few days. I spent a lot of time up on the double black diamond runs. I’m really not good enough for those as my knees are telling me tonight. But you gotta push yourself, right?
