Back to work

My time off is now over. I just finished my first week going back to work (well, half week). I am now working at a Seattle startup Jobster. It’s been much harder than I thought to get back into the swing of working. I had a really nice break (3 months) where I got to wake up when my daughter did, have breakfast with her, and pick what I wanted to do for the day. I didn’t miss the commute into Seattle but I did miss the sense of purpose and the interaction with smart people. Jobster definitely has that. After three days, I already have a long list of projects I will be involved in. I’m excited that I’ll be spending a large amount of time on the Jobster core architecture. It will be a challenge to look at the big picture and influence the entire application but it something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
