So this is a really cool rumor. This has to be one of the most intriguing rumors I’ve seen in some time and it sounds exactly like the kind of thing Apple would do. If they aren’t, they should now!

Future CPU for Mac Pro?
Assuming that Apple will continue the renaming scheme, it is likely that the replacements for the PowerMac will be something like Mac Pro. And the new quad-core Intel CPU would seem like a great fit.
