This article in Macworld UK talks about an analysis by Needham & Co. that claims almost half a million people have switched from Windows to OS X. Many of the usual issues are raised — Windows as a virus plagued platform, Apple ease of use, iPod halo effect, etc. Overall, it is an overwhelmingly positive analyst report.
It really feels to me like it is becoming a very good time to be doing Mac development. You can almost sense a sea change happening with Linux on the server front and Mac OSX on the desktop. But the paranoid Mac user in me can’t quite accept it. Here’s hoping that this time it really happens.
